Gray, TN, 5/27/2024 — Envision Eye Care has announced that a new optometrist, John Gingrich, O.D., has joined their practices in Gray and Bristol. An experienced eye doctor, Dr. Gingrich has a plethora of experience, helping round out the team at both locations. With the addition of Dr. Gingrich to their team, Envision Eye Care reaffirms their commitment to providing patients with thorough, quality care from compassionate providers.
“I’m very excited to be part of the Envision Eye Care team,” said Dr. Gingrich. “It’s an honor to be part of a practice that works very hard to deliver the best possible eye care experience. From having the latest advanced technology to each provider’s positive attitude every day, it’s been wonderful getting settled in and starting to meet with patients.”
Dr. Gingrich joined the Envision Eye Care staff in January 2024, taking time to settle in after his move to Johnson City.
“Part of what drew me to Envision Eye Care was the high level of professionalism,” continued Dr. Gingrich. “The continually caring environment is exactly the kind of place I want to be in to treat patients. I do a variety of stuff with eye care, especially with post-operative management, and I’m looking forward to getting to meet all our patients and be able to deliver the best care possible!”
Dr. Gingrich completed his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Missouri St. Louis in 1990. Originally from central Missouri, he lived in Billings, Montana for a period where he practiced independently. His passion for optometry stems from the strong impression the field made on him when he was getting his first pair of glasses at age 12. Dr. Gingrich specializes in medical management care and working with post-refractive surgery patients, something notably treated at Envision Eye Care.
“I always do my best with patients, no matter what they’re going through, and Envision Eye Care is a very supportive atmosphere for that,” added Dr. Gingrich. “We have facilities and technology and services that you won’t get elsewhere in the area here, which makes a significant difference to how precise we can be. With something as important as your eyes and vision, you definitely don’t want to skimp!”

Dr. Gingrich’s scheduling between Bristol and Gray has not yet been announced. All Envision Eye Care practices are open for appointments from new and existing patients. Dr. Gingrich is also seeing new patients.
